Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home will host an open house from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday (March 29).
“I would like to personally invite everyone in the community to join us for this special day,” said Yukio Okutsu Administrator David Pettijohn. “We are extremely proud of our veterans, and we would like for everyone to see the facilities, activities, and services we provide daily.”
The Open House is a way for the state veterans home to showcase their facility and services offered in Hilo. Yukio Okutsu is the only state veterans home in Hawaii, and offers a range of services for their veteran residents. The open house will consist of a tour, as well as a luau-style lunch and live entertainment.
Located at 1180 Waianuenue Ave. in Hilo, Yukio Okutsu services all veterans, regardless of the location of service or if the unit was not in Hawaii. Yukio Okutsu’s comprehensive senior care services include skilled nursing, senior living, pharmacy, rehabilitation therapy, and hospice services.
